ETFs Added to our Family of IB Market Briefs We are pleased to add the Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) brief to our family of daily market briefs including the Options brief, the FX brief and the Interest Rates brief. The ETFs table summarizes options activity on 11 major industries using the popular underlying SPDR Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). The data table shows the price and daily change in price as well as a reading of options implied volatility used to measure the potential price movement in the underlying symbol. The table also provides overall options open interest in each fund and breaks it conveniently into call/put and put/call ratios to help gauge investors' bias via the options market. TWS Market Scanner Snapshots Available 24/7 In addition to our free delayed market data and 24/7 access to TWS, TWS beta release 905 includes access to TWS Market Scanners (with the exception of bond, penny option and EFP scanners) after trading has stopped, on evenings and weekends. After-hour scanners use data from the previous close to provide a static snapshot as of the market's close. Closing data provided in the after-hours Market Scanners includes the bid, ask, and change. IB's Daily Interest Rate Brief Adds Real-time Bond Data Tables The Daily Interest Rate Brief, which covers the global interest rate futures markets for government bonds and short-dated futures contracts, now includes real-time bond data tables to show the top 20 highest-yielding investment and non-investment grade corporate bonds. The table is divided into four components determined by two factors. Bonds are grouped by a maturity horizon of less than and more than a three-year time. The high-to-low ranking system is determined by the rating assigned to company issued debt by Moody’s Investor Service. Bonds are listed from highest to lowest yield. Beneath the data table is a user’s guide to help understand the Moody’s ranking methodology. Investors can use the table to determine potential investments to suit their time horizon according to their risk tolerance. Each bond is identified by a hyperlink to the underlying equity security and displays the coupon rate and a precise maturity date. For example, the ticker BAC 8 1/4, 04/15/27 would display data for Bank of America corporate bonds maturing April 15, 2027.
